Rolled into the city pretty early in the morn. Found a tourist office and got some info on the metros and the theater. Helped us book two seats for a matinee performance of Les Miserables that afternoon. Saw the play and were very impressed.

David now sings "Who am I...I am Jean Val Jean...24601," almost constantly. That boy has got a future in showbiz. Wandered the city and found Picadilly Circus and got the perspective both in the day and at night. Lots of neon. Had some thoughts about going to Wimbledon. Heard that we had to be there pretty early to get seats, like 6 a.m., but also heard that people camp out and no garauntee of tix. Decided to go a bit later than 6 and first saw Big Ben (Dong...Dong...Dong) and Parlaiment. "Look kids, Big Ben...Parliament." That joke just doesn't get old. Stopped in Westminster Abbey and checked out some graves and altars. Yeah...more churches. We officially miss crepes. We hopped back on the metro and stopped at Bevis Marks, a 300 year old Ashkenazie synagogue. It was pretty cool. Way old.

Left for Wimbledon. Got off the metro only to see a massive crowd, and knew that our hopes of seeing a match were negligible. We decided to forgoe the $1000 ticket price, and 3 hour wait just to get in the gate to purchase a ticket. Wandered around the exterior and found a small opening in one of the gates...got to see some ladies doubles (court 6). Left there and made our way to the players entrance. Waited around for a bit once we noticed some serious photographers with long zoom lenses. Ended up catching Anna Kournikova coming out of the club and snapped a few photos. Yeah, she's as hot in person as the internet photos we know that you have looked at.

Checked out Trafalgar square last night and that was about it. Today we waited in line for 2 hours to get the best seats in the house for "Lion King." Saw the Tower of London and got a tour from a Beefeater or Yeoman Warder. Saw the crown jewels. Pretty cool, big diamonds. Women should not go with husbands or significant others as this causes serious loss of funds to one's bank account. Walked around the Tower Bridge and headed for Lion King. The performance was astonishing. Truly a spectacle. We cannot fully describe just how good it was, you just have to see it for yourselves. Although, David, being the sly illegal photographer that he is, he snapped a great photo of the curtain call. It's good! Ask to see it later.

Be home so soon, can't believe this trip is almost over. Doesn't seem like 6 weeks have gone by already. Can't wait to see all of you. Oh, and please mind the gap! Beefeaters Rule!!!!
Cheerio,
The Chaps
